Projects Portfolio

Images of some of Brian's select projects

This page contains a portfolio of a selection of Brian's projects that have been completed. Some for sale, some were to customer specifications. Brian regularly posts photos of completed items on a public facebook photo album, many of which can be available for sale- If interested in any of these creations or those posted to facebook, feel free to send Brian a message via Facebook messenger asking about the specific item or items in mind.

One of Brian's own designs - an apothecary herbalist cabinet, drawers to hold a variety of teas & herbs, the 2 cubbies on the right side are sized to hold a mortar & pestle set and/or a variety of common sizes of store-bought herbs & spices. Lots of possibilities.  It was made from locally sourced Oak, Cherry, Sapele, and Hickory, with Walnut & Maple accented drawer fronts. Door engraving designs can be changed, or if preferred, they can be made with glass (or mirrors), so the design can be customized by special order (2-3 weeks lead time, possibly more if we have to source a particular wood) - This one was finished in a gloss polyurethane varnish, for a more matte look, (and more "green" finish) they can also be finished in an all-natural linseed oil & pine resin (or beeswax) finish, with or without the locking mechanism.

Bookshelf/cubbyhole cabinet

Custom designed to a client's specifications, crafted from Oak, and finished in Lacquer

These are just some other examples of past creations, From the whimsical (3 walnut "mushrooms" turned on the lathe, mounted on a scrap of walnut log) to the Utility (stacking wooden crates for storage/ transport of items below, left.. small ring & watch dish at lower right) and originals (first design of apothecary cabinet)

Custom built coffee Table with staved legs

The legs were formed from 20 vertical staves glued up into a cylinder and finish turned on the lathe, then split into quarters. The top and aprons from more of the same White Oak lumber, selected for the "striped" grain. Custom built to fit the client's requirements.
